Shawn Linam is a trailblazer in the space industry, serving as the President & CEO and co-founder of Qwaltec, a dynamic woman-owned small business based in Tempe, Arizona. Qwaltec is a team of engineers and project managers, renowned for its mission control expertise, supporting both government and commercial space systems with cutting-edge solutions. As a Governor appointee to the Arizona Space Commission, Shawn is helping shape the future of space innovation and economic growth in the state, advocating for excellence in aerospace leadership.

Shawn's journey into the space industry began at NASA, where she honed her skills as an astronaut and flight controller instructor for the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. Her extensive experience in space systems operations has made her a pivotal figure in designing and implementing training systems for numerous space programs.

Beyond her professional achievements, Shawn is a passionate advocate for STEM education, especially for young girls. She has inspired countless students as a Girl Scout leader, STEM advisor, and speaker in K-12 schools and universities.
